Purpose

We all know walking is good exercise. Walking and talking to truly connect with another person is one of the most powerful, evidence-backed ways to protect your brain against dementia.
Social isolation is associated with a 50% increased risk of developing dementia and a 29% increased risk of coronary heart disease.
43% of adults aged 60+ report feeling lonely
24% of community-dwelling Americans 65+ are clinically socially isolated (this includes work at home adults, too!)
People who work at home often report they don't interact with another person face-to-face all week, except at the grocery store.

When that conversation becomes your life story, captured and preserved forever, the walk isn't just good for you, it's a gift for the people who love you."
The Experience
This structured, comfortable walk starts with a quick overview of your life. It's fun and freeing when you share with someone who is truly curious!
You’ll be guided through your memories, triumphs, challenges, and values.
You’ll walk home with your recorded story to ponder or edit, if you wish. Afterwards, you have an option for three (3) additional walks to expand or flesh out more details of your life story.
After all, when were you planning the time to write your own autobiography? Did you know that Personal Historians average $10,000-$50,000 to create your story? Our cost is a fraction of that and you get your story immediately, too.
Is This For You?
This was designed especially for people entering new territory in the game of life who:
Face a major life transition; a relocation, retirement, or find they're reinventing themselves

- Everyone has an important story. Don’t keep it to yourself. Let's document it the easy & healthy way!
Your Guide

Your Guide/Director, Allison Bliss, brings decades of experience in storytelling for film, theatre, and business, plus lived experience across multiple careers, cultures, wins, losses, and life transitions.
She also helps historical walking tours to learn the story of various towns and neighborhoods. That means you walk with someone endlessly curious, who has the capacity to genuinely relate to whatever chapter you are in now.
Talking to family can sometimes feel awkward or constrained. Here, you set the tone and boundaries, and a neutral, caring guide walks you through the highs, lows, lessons, and “plot points” of your life.
